Hostile Words
Hostile words,
angry words,
words that incite violence.
Disrespectful words,
hurtful words,
words that lead to an ambulance.
Strong words,
bitter words,
words that cause a crime.
Painful words,
nasty words,
words that result in jail time.
The fact is
they’re just words.
Why do they illicit such action?
If we could replace them
with words of joy,
imagine a different reaction.
